PeeVee (b.1979) is a people photographer and creative entrepreneur based in Bangalore, India. He co-founded Thalam, a creative space and Creative Ville, a communications agency. His photography works have been published in various Indian and international media and has also been exhibited at art galleries across India.
In 2018, he won the prestigious Sahapedia Frames Grant, as one of the 25 photographers from across India, and documenting the Inscription Stones of Bengaluru. He was also one of the participating photographers at the ETP's Project 365, documenting the Temple town of Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu. He is working with many Startups and several MNC clients, including Intel Semiconductor, Yahoo and Bosch among others providing them with creative & photography services for their internal & external communication needs. He is also supporting 100s of individuals fulfilling their photography needs ranging between model profiles and events including weddings.
Currently, he is with Nikon School India as a photography mentor for Karnataka region and has mentored more than 4000 budding photographers in the last 4 years. He is a photo walk buff with close to 450 photo walks executed in Bangalore and across India. He is delighted to be associated with students through Mentoring, Career Guidance and Guest Talks. Apart from these, peevee is a Tree Hugger, Lake Lover, Runner and a cyclist.
PeeVee is friends with INTACH from 2008, and works with team INTACH to the date on various projects. In Nov 2019, he was part of the Photo Management team and contributed over 40 images for "Discovering Bengaluru", book written by Meera Iyer, and Published by INTACH. Some of his accomplishments include three public photo shows in collaboration with INTACH Bengaluru Chapter, Towns of our City (April 2017) at Richards Park & Milton Park, Bengaluru-Then and Now (Dec 2015) at Cubbon park Bengaluru and Namma Halasuru (Nov 2014) at Halasuru Metro Station.
He is also part of the series of mixed-media exhibits named Mentality (Feb 2020), No Parking (Aug 2018), Fluid (Oct 2017), My City Speaks to Me (Sep 2015) at Chitrakala Parishath Bengaluru and a group show named Thar Journal (Sep 2008).
In Aug 2015, PeeVee was invited to be a part of Campus Diaries’ 25 Under 25 program line up of Photography Mentors along with photographers Vicky Roy, Kishor Krishnamoorthi, Danial Shah and Aijaz Rahi to inspire and guide budding photographers. He was also a part of The Beauty & The Grit Dance Photography Workshop (March 2014) by STEM dance Kampni in association with JAAGA, mentored by the International dance artistes Roy Campbell-Moore and Ann Sholem. PeeVee was also a part of ATSA Art Management workshop, organised by ArtThinkSouthAsia by KHOJ in collaboration with GOA-CAP in August 2013, in Goa.
In September 2012, Timeout Bengaluru (a global lifestyle magazine) named PeeVee as “One of the 13 local heroes for culture in Bangalore”, for his contribution to photography. He is proud to have facilitated and published two Coffee Table books, The Tour of Nilgiris (2009) and Frames of My City (2012), made a short film on Bangalore Lakes called The Bangalore Lake Diaries (2013) and published 2 sets of Post Cards named Portraits of Bangalore (2009) and Palace 2 Palace (2017).
